Status of Jordan Renewable Energy Sector: Problems, Needs and Challenges
Jordan imports most of its energy needs. The energy issue has posed a difficult challenge for Jordan. Its lack of conventional commercial energy resources places a burden on the national economy due to the relatively high cost of imported oil and the high energy investment needed for economic and social development of the country. These include wind, solar, hydro, geothermal, tides, waves, and biomass. [via]
