Simple CORBA Object Access Protocol (SCOAP)

This document is a discussion paper produced for the September, 2000 OMG Technical Committee meeting in Burlingame, CA. This document represents the results of some preliminary discussions the authors have had on a possible approach to addressing the issue of integrating CORBA and SOAP. Although the format of this document bears some resemblance to the format of a submission to an RFP, this is just because the editor decided that reuse of his existing templates was the shortest and simplest path to producing this document. This document in now way represents a formal commitment to submit to any OMG RFP, nor does it necessarily represent the approach that any of the authoring companies might take if such an RFP were issued.
